NEW - REFLEXOLOGY
A holistic therapy that has been practiced for thousands of years. This soothing, gentle therapy can help promote deep relaxation. It works on applying pressure and massage on different reflex points on the feet which corresponds to different areas of the body. It is based on the theory that all systems and organs of the body are linked by energy pathways. This targeted massage aims to stimulate and unblock these pathways in order to promote your body's natural healing powers.
Reflexology can help with a range of conditions such as:
We offer taster sessions if you are unsure about reflexology. It will include a demonstration using some techniques to allow the client time to relax and get a feel for how a longer session will go.
During a full treatment you should feel very relaxed and Catherine our reflexologist will gain information by working through each body system in a set sequence. By focusing on the adrenals and central nervous system, the treatment should promote endorphins and a feeling of wellbeing and calm. By clearing blockages and soothing pain on all levels. The session is then finished with lymph drainage and a lower leg massage.
60 minutes £52
30 minutes £30 ( taster session)

NEW - Kate Willis - Sports, Remedial Massage
Kate has trained in the use of sports specific techniques to help the body's natural processes of relaxation, detoxification and repair. By stimulating the circulation in an area muscles are better able to eliminate metabolic waste, and tight areas are encouraged to relax. Deeper stretching and mobility can be encouraged through myofascial techniques, deep tissue massage and active stretching. Addressing postural patterns and problem areas can help to improve posture and performance on and off the field.
Massage can be a helpful addition to a training regime, whether you're planning on running a marathon or just aiming to improve your overall fitness. Treatment can be targeted for problem areas of tightness, helping improve muscle length and function and increase overall flexibility and strength. This can help guard against injury or improve recovery time from injury or illness.
in your first treatment Kate will take a full medical history and assess problem areas, in order to tailor the treatment to exactly what you need. After the massage treatment Kate might suggest stretches or simple strengthening exercises to help support the work done in the session.
NEW - Kate Willis - Holistic Massage
kate aims to blend a remedial and holistic approach to give you a treatment that is both effective and relaxing. She blends traditional Swedish massage techniques with more dynamic bodywork techniques such as stretches, mobilisation, and passive movements. Kate incorporates these within the massage treatment as needed to give a less static and more three dimensional approach.
often in everyday life we do not use the full range of movement possible to us. This can lead to stiffness, pain and ultimately a loss of movement and flexibility. By gently mobilising and stimulating joints we can remind the body and mind of the possibility for change, repair and mobility.
Massage and Bodywork can be profoundly relaxing and grounding, or can be used to reinvigorate tired muscles, depending on the intention of the treatment and needs of the client. Kate aims to provide a space for your whole being to relax, giving body, mind and emotions the space to unwind and release.
Initial consultations and one hour treatments cost £58
Regional (40 minutes) £48
90 minutes treatment cost £85
How massage can help
Kate is .......
Kate works remedially, targeting specific muscles and structural patterns, with the aim to help your body's natural healing processes and to alleviate conditions you would like to address. She also integrates an holistic approach, aiming to bring balance and calm to both body and mind. Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs at the time.
Kate gained a Level 4 Diploma Holistic Massage in 2013 and then completed a Level 5 Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage in 2015.
Kate believes in a person-centred approach - as no two people are the same and each person feels their body and it's aches and tensions differently, so also her approach is to adapt to your specific needs of the time. She's does not do a "routine" but works holistically, fitting the techniques to what you need. She will never do the same massage twice, as our aches and areas that need work can change from day to day, depending on what life has been asking of us.
